The Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA), Inc., is now considered as the world’s largest organization for locksmiths and other similar physical security professionals. ALOA is dedicated to be the consumer’s first line of defense in physical security by increasing the effectiveness and productivity of locksmiths through educational programs and materials that address broad security interests. ALOA’s mission is dedicated to enhancing the professionalism, education, and most importantly, the ethics among locksmiths and those in related sectors of the physical security industry around the world.

Representing more than 10,000 locksmiths in the United States, Canada and even outside the North American Continent such as Australia and New Zealand, ALOA is focused on helping members obtain the knowledge, strength and confidence to perform their jobs, careers, and occupations in the physical security field with pride and dignity. ALOA’s activities include:

  • The ALOA Continuing Education (ACE) program
  • The ALOA Annual Convention and Security Expo
  • The ALOA Training Center, which is based in Dallas, Texas.

ALOA leads the way for advanced and improved security performance by providing members and the security community with access to a full range of educational programs and services.

In its Proficiency Registration Program (PRP), ALOA offers five locksmith designations:

  1. Registered Locksmith (RL)
  2. Certified Registered Locksmith (CRL)
  3. Certified Professional Locksmith (CPL)
  4. Certified Master Locksmith (CML)
  5. Certified Automotive Locksmith (CAL)

ALOA holds frequent PRP exam sessions for experienced locksmiths. ALOA also runs the Safe and Vault Technicians Association (SAVTA) and proctors the examinations for its specialty certifications as well which are:

  1. Certified Professional SafeTech (CPS)
  2. Certified Master Safe Technician (CMST)

The basic Registered Locksmith (RL) is a trade qualification designation awarded without benefit of a test. It is based on educational qualifications alone. On the other hand, a CRL (Certified Registered Locksmith) is awarded after passing the required test. Similarly, a Certified Professional Locksmith (CPL) has to pass several prerequisites and tests before being awarded this qualification. The highest qualification, Certified Master Locksmith (CML) is awarded after passing the eligibility tests.

For SAVTA certifications, exams and prerequisites are also required.

And you can bet that many locksmiths in Lemon Grove,CA especially in Mobile24-locksmiths have enough of the above qualifications.
